Kent Health Plan Profile - Fiscal Year 2006-07
A few highlights of Fiscal Year 2006-07 include:
- A limited Physical Therapy (PT) benefit was implemented on October 1, 2006
- Over 5,000 persons at any given time carried a Kent Health Plan membership card, allowing them access to a range of affordable basic healthcare including primary care, laboratory and radiology services, and medications
- Copays for services ranged between $5 and $10; thus being affordable to these persons who, for the most part, earned less than 150% of the federal poverty level (example: $15,315 for an individual, $25,755 for a family of three)
- Hundreds more people, who earned too much to qualify for full Kent Health Plan membership, received more targeted assistance with medications, subsidies for health insurance premiums, and information critical to accessing affordable healthcare within our community
- Countless additional indigent persons received healthcare and preventative services through partner organizations
